MBA is an "Internationally Recognized Business Qualification". The purpose of undertaking an MBA program is to gain practical general business skills. In this respect, an MBA program is contrast to an academic Master's Degree. MBA programs are designed to develop mid-carrier business managers.
While New Zealand has 8 public Universities, only 7 Universities have MBA Programs.

Computer Requirements for MBA Students (Minimum) After the release of Windows 95, environments surrounding computing at work and school and especially Personal Computing (PC) drastically changed. No tertiary institution lecturers accept hand-written assignments, reports and thesis from their students these days. Students are supposed to be "Computer Literate". NZ Universities and Polytechnics have relatively up-to-date computer labos. However, especially MBA students who must have heavy workload are strongly recommended to have own Notebook PC. Utilising the power of recently emerged and emerging information and communications technologies: PC, Email and the Internet could promise a superior academic performance.
